Team Talon past and present
Tommy has been a Talon ambassador for years, winning British championship titles on Talon parts with Dave Thorpe's Crendon Honda team. Last year, he narrowly missed out on victory while racing for the Dirt Store Kawasaki team. In 2025, Tommy will ride for the Official Triumph UK Motocross Team in another attempt to secure the British MX2 title. For the past few years, Talon has also supported Tommy by supplying wheels and sprockets for his winning VMXDN bike builds.
Despite being relatively new to the Talon team, Jamie Keith is definitely someone to keep an eye on! Jamie, who used Talon sprockets during his 2024 British 125cc championship campaign, narrowly missed the top step following a terrible final round with bike problems that saw him finish second in a championship. Jamie had been leading for the majority of the season. After winning the YZ125 Super final race at the MX of Nations at Matterly Basin, Jamie concluded his 2024 season on a high note. After joining the factory JK Yamaha race team, Jamie is preparing for his first full season in the EMX125 championship in 2025 and another go at the British title. He will be using Talon wheels in his quest to rule Europe and the UK!
Josh Gilbert has participated with Talon in various capacities over the years, most recently as part of his MX1 ride for Shaun Simpson's Gabriel KTM team, and currently riding for team Lexa MX. He is a consistent contender in the British championship and also represents his country on the MXGP stage internationally.
Martin Barr has been a key player in the motocross world for more than 20 years. Originating from Ballyclare, Northern Ireland, he went pro in 2003 and has made a name for himself as a tough competitor. With a strong love for the sport, Martin has ridden for leading teams like Husqvarna, KTM, and lately, the Apico Honda race team. His career is marked by an unwavering determination to succeed, frequently bouncing back from injuries and challenges to stay at the peak of his performance. Martin has been running the Talon wheels in his Hondas the past couple of seasons competing at the Arenacross UK, British MX1 championship and the famous Foxhills VMXDN.
Todd has received support from Talon for many years, starting from his early school days and continuing through his remarkable career with the Dragon Tech Yamaha race team. The multiple sand world champion and Le Touquet winner also uses Talon products while competing at the prestigious VMXDN on his Stolen brand Yamaha, where he has also achieved significant success.

Austin is one of Team Talon's junior riders and is already making a significant impact on the motocross scene. Not only has he achieved impressive results and victories in the UK, but he has also excelled on the world stage, consistently earning wins and podium finishes in the European Junior e-Motocross Championships. Some of you may have already seen Austin's viral video of him going all out at the MXGP of Spain, which has gathered an impressive 20.9 million views. Former Junior British Masters champion Billy Askew has been competing in the EMX 250 class on the world stage and mingling with MX2 riders at the British Championships for the past few seasons. He has shown promising form in both championships even taking a win at the first round of this years British championships (2025) at Hawkstone park. This season, he will be riding for the Dirt store Official Triumph UK Motocross Team on Talon wheels.
Josh Spinks is a dedicated Talon ambassador who feels like a member of the family, having been involved with the sport and Talon products for what seems like a lifetime. He boasts an impressive collection of championship titles, including being the BSMA national champion, the ACU British 2-stroke champion, and several club championships. Last year, he secured the title of 2024 Acerbis MX1 Champion and aims to defend that title while striving to earn additional accolades this year on his 450 Triumph, supplied by Triumph West London and equipped with Talon wheels. In addition to his racing accomplishments, he operates a successful coaching academy where he imparts essential skills and knowledge to aspiring riders seeking to excel in the sport.
The ex-ACU British MX2 runner-up is set to concentrate on the MX1 British championship, the Scottish Championships, and will also be racing internationally in the World motocross championships aboard his 450 Lexa MX Honda in the MX1 class. After clinching victories in the MX nationals, Scottish championship, and British masters, John is definitely a rider we’re excited to back and can’t wait to see him perform this year on Talon wheels.

Doug is a true motocross legend, having won an AMA Supercross main event as a factory Yamaha rider and serving as a long-time official Yamaha test rider. He is a veteran and a world four-stroke champion.
With 28 world vets' titles to his name, Doug represents the Talon brand while competing in the UK at events like Farleigh Vets MX and the famous VMXDN for Team Stolen Yamaha. Not only is he a legend in the sport, but he is also one of the nicest and most approachable individuals you will encounter around the paddock.
Jamie Squibb is the daredevil of Team Talon, known for spending a significant portion of his time inverted in mid-air. He is a multiple British freestyle motocross champion and has performed globally. He operates his own freestyle display show, which traverses the country, delivering breathtaking motorcycle jumps and stunts. Additionally, he has featured in the Nitro Circus UK tour and made appearances on national television, including BBC 3’s ‘Don’t Tell the Bride, ‘Where he showcases his remarkable skills at the wedding of a fortunate couple. Jamie understands the critical role that high-quality components play in his freestyle bike, which is why he opts for Talon wheels, confident in their ability to withstand significant impacts repeatedly.
Andre Villa is a highly skilled and motivating athlete from Norway. Villa's skill and dedication have led to significant success in his career, earning him the title of Best International FMX Rider from the freestyle motocross community. He has also accomplished several achievements, including winning multiple medals at prestigious X Games competitions. A standout moment in Villa's career was when he became the first person to successfully perform a double backflip in a competition, showcasing his incredible athleticism and fearless attitude. Over the past ten years, Villa has achieved multiple victories in major events and has also taken on the role of promoting his own events while traveling and performing demonstrations globally.
The young dutchman competed in the EMX 250 championships last year as well as winning the British MX2 championship on Talon wheels. With a successful season riding for Shaun Simpsons Gabriel KTM team, he is now riding full time MXGP in the MX2 class on board his factory KTM.
